I think the exhibition was originally to be shown in the foyer of the Opéra Rennes
I thought the head was one of the Muses of Apollo on the friese of the Opéra, like the one above - perhaps Euterpe, Muse of Music and Lyric Poetry? But, looking closer, I am not so sure; those Muses all look a bit different. Her veil, an inverted Gothic arch, refers to le voile du palais ( the French for:the soft palate or velum.) It reminds me of a Covid mask.
